/ 08 / 07
Hey everyone!
It's
about time for an update on what is going on with the band!
It's only been a year or so since the last
one :)
Worry not, Machine Called Man is alive and well!
First and foremost we would like to welcome back an old band member and
announce the addition of a brand new one!
Alex Sheldon, who has played bass in a few previous incarnations of MCM
has returned to the band as a permanent member.
We are also happy to announce the addition of our new drummer, Ramon Ochoa
(ex- Total Eclipse, Down Factor) to the MCM ranks. Ramon is a stellar
musician and we are all excited to have him on board.
The official announcement can be found at Blabbermouth.net at the link
below:
http://www.roadrunnerrecords.com/blabbermouth.net/news.aspx?mode=Article&newsitemID=74214
So, a BIG welcome to Alex and Ramon!
With that, the current line up consists of:
Paul G. Thuriot - Guitars, Programming, Guitar Synth
Manol Manolov - Guitars, Programming
Norman Skinner – Vocals
Ramon Ochoa – Drums
Alex Sheldon - Bass
As for the new album, we have been writing and rehearsing a plethora of
new material which would comprise our next full-length release. We have
approximately 7-8 songs that we are working out and finalizing. More on
this, soon!
Updates to the site shall be more regular and enticing from now on, so
stay tuned ;)
Cheers,

MetalStorm.EE - Review and sampler!
02 / 23 / 06
Hey everyone,
There is a new
review of '2.004' over at METALSTORM.EE
that was done by our friend Jeff.
Make sure you surf over and check it out. While you're there check out
their killer site, as well - definitely one of the better online metal
zines out there!
We will also be featured on next month's MetalStorm online sampler at
http://www.metalstorm.ee/compilation/index.php
The compilation will be online starting the 1st - 2nd of March so make
sure you check it out - there will be a lot of good bands featured.
And finally, we're slowly inching toward the completion of the new material.
We now have 7 songs written for the next full-length MCM album. These
sound different and definitely more evolved than our current material
and needless to say, we are really excited about them!
We are planning to do a 3-4 song 'rough' demo of the next album, soon,
and who knows, we might even end up posting some 'previews' on the site.
Stay tuned for more, soon...
Until next time,
-Manol

the ceaseless inspiration.

UPDATES ! ! !
10 / 04 / 05
Hey all,
We haven't updated
in a long time, but, believe us, we've been busy!
First of all, the new record has been doing well, we've been getting many
positive responses to the songs and we're working on getting some reviews
done as well.
Speaking of reviews, the first review of '2.004' has been added to the
REVIEWS page.
It's courtesy of our friends at METAL
TO INFINITY . Many thanks to Stefan for the killer review!
We've also sent out promo packs to a number of labels and are in the process
of sending promos out to zines and magazines as well.
Last but not least, we're happy to announce that we have 6 songs written
for the new album that we've been working on for quite a while. These
are still in the rough stages but we're polishing them up as we speak.
As soon as we're happy with the layouts we will start work on a brand
new demo recording. The new stuff sounds different and shows the evolution
of the band's sound over the years. Needless to say we're very excited
about it and can't wait to get it out there!
So as you can see, a lot has been going on in MCM land.
As always we want to thank everyone for their support and continued interest!
Until next time...

OUR
DEBUT ALBUM '2.004' IS FINALLY AVAILABLE!
05 / 14 / 2005
Well, it only took 3 1/2 years, but our long,
long-awaited debut album '2.004' is finally here!
For the first time we actually have it in our
hands - covers, cases, booklets and all!
All of us in Machine Called Man are very happy
with the final result and can't wait to get the
album out there and into the hands of everyone
who has waited for it for so long!
Again, we apologize for the perennial waiting
period that preceded this release, but we feel
that this album was definitely worth it!
We want to thank all the people that waited so
patiently for the album, as well as everyone
who contributed to it, in any way.
Big thanks to Ed Doorn - whose mastering
abilities brought out the best in our sound!
We also would like to thank Scott Bullerwell,
Waylon Ford and Pat Alvidrez for their
contributions and for being part of the
MCM phenomenon.
We hope that '2.004' will be a record that
everyone, who has ever been involved with
Machine Called Man in any way, can be proud of!
The album can be ordered through Hellion Records using the link below:

PURE VOLUME, DEMO REVIEW AND '2.004'
03
/ 09 / 2005
Hey all!
I haven't posted any updates
in a while simply because there was nothing worthwhile to report. This is in light
of a few minor updates that have been done to the site, as well as some other
news.
For starters we now have a profile at purevolume.com that you can
check out at the following URL:
http://www.purevolume.com/machinecalledman
In
addition to the other songs the full version of 'A World Without Heroes' is also
available through purevolume so feel free to check that out.
There is
also a new (meaning new to the site, the review itself is from Sept. 2003 ;) review
of the original 8-song MCM Demo that has been added to the Reviews page. It was
done by the kind people at www.musicextreme.com
The music page has been updated as well, to reflect a (very) minor
change that we have made to the CD cover as well as the song order on '2.004'.
Speaking of the new album, here's how everything looks like as of today.
The CDs themselves have been burned, printed and are ready to go. The only remaining
detail to be taken care of is the actual printing of the covers (front and back).
We are in the process of printing those out, which shouldn't take too long. To
give a somewhat uncertain estimate, it shouldn't take longer than another two
weeks at most before we have the album completely ready and available through
the website.
As i said, it's a very inexact prediction, but we're trying
to get this done as fast as the pestlence of daily routines and distractions will
allow ;)
We know that this has taken a lo-o-o-ong time and we want to thank
everyone for their patience and for sticking around!
Any day now... ;)

THE
NEW SITE!
02 / 16 / 2005
Welcome to Machine Called
Man's brand new home on the web!
First of all an apology to anyone who
tried to access the site during the last two months and found an empty screen
with an error message. We were having some major problems with our previous hosting
company and due to the incompetence and indifference of their staff the site was
inaccessible for quite a while.
However all that's taken care of, and thanks
to the wonderful services of DreamHost web hosting we're back!
We hope
you'll enjoy the redesigned site. We are the ones who maintain all aspects of
it so any suggestions regarding site design / layout are more than welcome. Hopefully
you'll find the design simple and easy to navigate through. The web page is an
ongoing project and will continue to expand and improve within the confines of
my web-design skills.
We also have a new guestbook and forum which can
be accessed through the 'Interactive' portion of the site. Feel free to sign up
for both of those.
As for music, we've been working hard on getting the
new album packaged and ready to send out. The music for '2.004' is complete and
the only thing left to take care of is the actual printing and packaging. So hopefully
we will be able to get that out of the way and get some music out to you real
soon. Samples from '2.004' are available under the 'Music' section so feel free
to check them out as a preview of things to come. We are also working on new material
so expect some updates regarding that in the near future.
That's about
all that's new. We hope you'll enjoy the site and
make sure to check back
as we'll try to provide updates on a regular basis
Stay tuned!
